Ambassador Chapman’s career culminated in his service as U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, where he advanced bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and technology. He continues to shape U.S. and global policy through advisory and board roles with leading organizations including Inter&Co, the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University, and the Salvation Army USA. He also serves as a non-resident senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines.

“Brazil represents one of the most important aerospace hubs in the world, and its innovators – from Embraer to emerging startups – are shaping the future of aviation,” said Ambassador Chapman. “I am honored to join XTI Aerospace’s Advisory Board at such a pivotal time in the company’s growth, and I look forward to contributing to its mission of pioneering the next generation of vertical flight.”

Ambassador Chapman holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a Master of Science from the National Intelligence University.
